This Privacy Policy explains how ListBeam collects, uses, and protects information when you use the application and related services.

This page is for informational purposes only and does not constitute legal advice. Privacy requirements vary by jurisdiction; you should consult your own legal advisor to confirm compliance for your specific situation.

1. Information we collect

We collect information that you provide directly to us and information that is collected automatically when you use the Service, including:

  • Account data such as your email address and basic profile details when you sign up or sign in.
  • Workspace and checklist data such as lists, templates, imported content, and responses you collect from others.
  • Usage data such as pages visited, features used, approximate region, and device/browser information.
  • Technical logs such as IP address, request identifiers, error logs, and timestamps, which help us keep the Service reliable and secure.

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information unless you choose to include it in your lists or uploads. You are responsible for ensuring that any personal data you collect from others is handled lawfully.

2. How we use information

We use your information to operate, maintain, and improve ListBeam, including to:

  • create and manage your account and workspace;
  • store your checklists, templates, and responses;
  • power AI features such as list generation and imports;
  • monitor usage and performance to keep the Service reliable and secure;
  • communicate with you about updates, security alerts, and support.

3. AI processing

Some features of ListBeam send portions of your content to third-party AI providers in order to generate or improve lists. These providers process the data on our behalf to return AI-generated suggestions. We do not authorize them to use your content to train models for unrelated customers, to the extent we can control this via their configuration options.

4. Data sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We may share information with trusted service providers who help us run ListBeam, for example:

  • cloud hosting and database providers;
  • authentication and email delivery providers;
  • analytics and monitoring tools;
  • AI model providers used for list generation and import.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to comply with legal processes, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of ListBeam, our users, or others.

5. Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You may delete checklists and other content at any time from within the app. If you close your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, subject to any legal obligations to retain certain records.

6. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections and access controls. However, no online service can guarantee perfect security, and you should take care when deciding what information to store or share through ListBeam.

7. Your rights and choices

You can access, update, or delete much of your information directly from your account interface. If you live in a region that grants additional privacy rights (such as the EU/EEA, UK, or certain U.S. states), you may have the right to request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of your data. You can make these requests by contacting us via the Contact page.

8. Children's privacy

ListBeam is not intended for use by children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.

9. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the “Last updated” date on this page. For material changes, we may also provide additional notice (for example, by email or in-app message). Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the updated Policy.
